Cours et tutorat
I am a PhD (DPhil) candidate at Oxford University working at the intersection of law, philosophy, and politics. I recently finished writing my doctoral dissertation and am now on the academic job market. On the side, I have been editing and proofreading for more than 15 years for all disciplines and subject areas, and can also provide research and writing assistance (e.g., with proposals and postgraduate applications as well as legal documents).
Previously, I worked as an editor and proofreader for Oxford University Press and have been an editorial assistant for various academic journals. In addition, I have provided editorial assistance to postgraduates as well as academics with journal articles, master`s and doctoral theses, and book projects. I am happy to proofread or edit work of any length, but specialize in theses and dissertations.
Please get in touch for more information about me, including my institutional e-mail and webpage, academic (peer-reviewed) publications in law, published acknowledgments of my work, and detailed rates.
A brief summary of the editorial and proofreading services I provide:
- Academic editing / proofreading
- Dissertation and thesis editing / proofreading
- Formatting (e.g., APA, MLA, Chicago, OSCOLA, etc.)
- Legal and corporate editing
- Research and editorial assistance
- Assistance with postgraduate applications, CVs, etc.
- Assistance with medical residency applications
The editing / proofreading process is exceptionally rigorous. I begin by reading the text as a whole to check for things like logic, organization, coherence, and cogency. The second round of work is more fine-grained, and I focus on the mechanical elements of language, like grammar, structure, phrasing, word choice, etc.
Thank you for reading and good luck with your writing.
(Please note that I cannot write assignments or papers.)
