Main Duties:
Assist warehouse manager in delegating daily duties to a warehouse staff of approximately thirty Employees, monitor performance.
Coordinate, plan and develop efficient methods for receiving, order processing and distribution processing, shipping and replenishment of stock merchandise
Responsible to oversee all operations of shipping, receiving, production scheduling, inventory and staff management.
Organize shipping appointments with all major customers.
Purchase all warehouse supplies.
Plan staffing requirements, vacation scheduling and employee evaluations.
Establish projections on staffing and labor cost requirements.
Responsible for the development and application of distribution center structures and logistics.
Coordinate, plan and develop efficient methods for receiving, order processing and distribution processing, shipping and replenishment of stock merchandise.
Responsible to oversee all operations of shipping, receiving, production scheduling, inventory and staff management.
Facilitate processing of orders to meet customer needs and company deadlines.
Criteria:
Minimum 5 years experience as a (high volume) warehouse assistant manager for a major importer catering to large retail chains in both Canada and the USA.
Experience hiring, training, delegating daily work loads to a staff of 30 warehouse workers
Strong computer knowledge (Momentis, Excel, Word), fluently bilingual, able to deal directly with buyers.
