Assist one 78-year-old senior in his home as needed. Duties include helping with dressing and toilet use, preparing meals, doing light duty housekeeping (e.g., dusting, vacuuming, laundry, ironing, making beds, changing linens, taking out garbage), running errands (e.g., picking up prescriptions and dry cleaning), and taking the client to appointments or activities.
Credentials such as a certificate or license are not required. Applicants must have at least 1 year of experience providing home care for a senior or the equivalent (i.e., training as a nurse or caregiver). The applicant must be experienced or trained in lifting people cared for.
This is not a live-in position, but accommodation will be arranged. Since public transportation is not available, the ability to drive is an asset.
